ALL SAR CAST TAKE TO THE NEVEREVERLAND STAGE THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON

The team who have been producing high quality panto productions for the last 11 years in Limerick City are delighted to launch their production of Nevereverland by Mike Finn, which will take place in LIT Millennium Theatre from Wednesday 26th December for 20 performances.

Nevereverland tells the story of an unscrupulous developer who threatens to turn a much-loved theatre into a multi-storey car park. A colourful troupe of actors try to save the day by staging a multi-story pantomime. Will the topsy-turvy adventures of Cinderella, Jack and his beanstalk, Peter Pan and Captain Hook force old Mrs. Bigbucks to see the error of her ways? Hopefully…

Once again Myles Breen will lead a fantastic cast for CentreStage Productions in Nevereverland. Myles who recently appeared in RTE’s Killinaskully and Fair City is well known for his great comic timing and quirky jokes in panto, as well as for classy dresses and colourful hats as the Dame. He is loved by all the young audience members and keeps the adults on their toes!

Starring alongside Myles will be comedy legend and another pantomime favourite Aódan Fox. Aódan has won numerous AIMS awards for his comedy roles in Guys and Dolls, Have a Sixpence and many more with the Shannon Musical Society. His past panto roles include Jack, and Nappyrash in the sell out of Cinderella last year.

Returning again to the CentreStage panto is the star of ITV’s Emmerdale Liam O’Brien, who played the role of The Beast in Beauty and The Beast in 2000. Liam, a consummate actor and singer will take on the demanding role of the evil and somewhat zany Captain Hook, aided by Mr Smee played by local comedian Darren Shine

The role of the youthful and agile Peter Pan will be played by 13 year old CentreStage student Conor O’Brien. Conor played Billy Elliott in the Limerick Musical Society sell-out production of It’s Broadway 3 at LIT Millennium Theatre and he appeared as young Nathan in the Full Monty at UCH.

Our favourite character in any panto, Buttons will be played by Conor J. Ryan, who played David in the award wining movie Garage with Pat Shortt. Conor is no stranger to panto having played the role of Sly in the CentreStage panto Beauty and the Beast in 2005.

Another regular performer and upcoming star is relative newcomer Hollie O’Donoghue who will play Ophelia and Cinderella. Hollie is a junior tutor with CentreStage and she has performed in many productions in the children and adult chorus’ over the years.

A very demure and talented 9 year old Nastasia Vashko will play the role of Tinker-Bell in Nevereverland. Nastasia recently took part in the final of the RTÉ Dustin's Daily News Star Search to great acclaim and his is her first major role on a Limerick stage.

As is traditional with the CentreStage panto, a very strong children’s chorus and adult ensemble of boys and girls will entertain the audience well known songs including the latest hits from High School Musical 2, Take That and Legally Blonde.

According to Director/Producer Richie Ryan “Nevereverland is for all the family, we have huge pride in the quality of our productions and our panto is a feast of comedy, music and dance suitable for grandparents, parents and of course children of all ages”.

“We are very excited with the huge cast we have this year”, Richie continued, “this has to be one of the finest casts we have accumulated for many years. In the past we have had performances from Jessica Bray, Amanda Minihan, Brian McCann, Denise Broderick, Ian McGlynn, Jeffrey Rockett, Eddy Dillon, but the cast this year are set to break all records”.

Nevereverland is produced by CentreStage Productions who have staged record breaking pantomimes including Cinderella, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin, Snowwhite.com, Down to the Woods and Jack and The Beanstalk.

With glittering costumes, fantastic sets, side-splitting comedy, and an all star cast Nevereverland will be the perfect winter warmer this festive season.

Nevereverland is presented in association with LIT Millennium Theatre, with kind sponsorship by Limerick’s Live 95fm, Supermac’s, Limerick Marriott Hotel, and Specsavers, Limerick. According to Aileen Galvin, PR Consultant for Nevereverland “Sponsorship of the panto is vital, this is Limerick’s Live 95fm 5th year as our media sponsor, and I would like to thank David Tighe and his team for their ongoing support. A huge thank you to John Lyons from Supermac’s who are on board again this year and we are delighted to welcome The Limerick Marriott Hotel and Specsavers Limerick as sponsors this year.  This sponsorship is critical to the running of the Panto and I hope people will continue to support our sponsors throughout the year”.
